I'm reasonably certain  this picture was taken December 24, 1957. My reasoning is (1)  I had that beige sweater when I was a sophomore in high school, (2) we're opening presents, and (3) we opened presents at the Lammers on Christmas Eve in later years.

The house is at 1318 E Rich Ave., Spokane WA. It stands today. The house was sold with contents a few years ago when their son, Wayne Lammers died. Uncle Wayne lived there for years after Diedrich and Beulah died. Rick saw inside the house during a water inspection for the City of Spokane. Rick says the piano remains where it is in this picture ... WITH MY HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR PICTURE ON IT!?

Diedrich went by the name "Dick." My grandmother, Beuhah, had a Boston accent, so it sounded more like "Deeeick" when she said it. These two people were simply the best. I miss them and think of them every day.

Beuhah and Diedrich are interred in Memorial Cemetary, Spokane, Washington.

Beulah 1893 - 1977
Diedrich 1889 - 1966

They showed me this plot once -- not a good day for me.  My mother Phyllis, and Uncle Wayne are buried beside them. My brother, Rick has a "pre-need" spot with them.
